About Me
I’m a mum of twin girls who have headed off to boarding school this year (2017). So I’m transitioning. Great word, isn’t it? But, there you have it, I don’t want to work in an office and want to work with people, helping them find some peace and relaxation in this frenetic world we live in. I’m creating a ‘portfolio’ career which also involves a little event work here on the Kapiti Coast and a home maintenance business called Here2HelpKapiti.co.nz which I’ve set up with my business partner, Cath Chittenden.
I was fortunate to discover that yoga is my happy place and I’ve been doing asanas (poses) now for over four years. I started practicing every day after attending a yoga/meditation retreat in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I was in Thailand on a Habitat for Humanity build. In fact, I love yoga so much that I’ve just been to India in May 2017 and completed a yoga teacher training course. So, if you’d like some one on one yoga sessions – I’d welcome the opportunity to share my expereince and love of yoga with you.
Pieces of Paper I’ve Collected
I have a Certificate in Indian Head Massage and have completed two levels of Reiki (2nd degree). I’m also a qualified yoga teacher.
Not that it helps for massage, but I also have a degree in Religious Studies and History from Victoria University, Wellington.
